theelliedoll:

The reason why the Mockingjay trailer is so brilliant is that it perfectly captures the fact that The Hunger Games is a love story. Katniss’s being District 13’s weapon and Peeta being The Capitol’s weapon means they’re still in the games - they’re still being pinned against…

I had such bad stomach aches last night that they woke me up midsleep (at 4am, of course). It must of been the gluten pizza slice I had at dinner. My issue was finally alleviated after 5:30 am and I slept in until noon and my mom was trying to make me run errands for her which really ticked me off cause she was dressed and ready to go & when she was cluing me in as to what she had to get done that day she asked if I could go (note: still in my pj’s, not having eaten breakfast yet). Like man I know she needs help with stuff but I hate when she tries to dump stuff on me last minute, so I told her no and that I didn’t feel well so thats why I got up late, etc. It’s now 1 and idk if I’m even gonna get anywhere today - I was gonna go to my college’s financial aid offices and give them my final documents but my stomach still feels questionable. I’m quite annoyed. Here I am being poorly on my last week before school starts - I just wanted to get some important stuff done and then enjoy my day! Not mope around in my room in my pj’s in the dark in the afternoon. Ugh gluten free problems.

A Hiker’s Ever-Changing View from the Tent with @michaelmatti

For more from Michael’s adventures in the Pacific North and beyond, follow @michaelmatti on Instagram.

Even though his photography has taken him around the world, Michael Matti (@michaelmatti)’s heart—and Instagram feed—belong to beautiful landscapes near his home in Seattle.

“The amazing outdoors scene in the Pacific Northwest inspired me after college,” he says. “There is so much to see with its sea-stack-filled beaches, rugged mountains and cascading waterfalls.”

Michael frequently frames nature shots through tents, a technique he says is common among his peers. He also includes a human or animal figure against every backdrop—no matter how small they appear in the image.

“People give scale to nature,” he says. “A waterfall shot with a tiny person in the frame helps to really add a sense of wonder to the falls.”

The first official trailer for Mockingjay: Part One is here!

Ooooh mmmmyyy woooord

6/10 favorite quotes - Big damn heroes, sir.

I can’t really think of anything that’s worse in my life than the stress and anxiety that college courses create, but getting all the required fafsa docs done for said courses can sometimes be a close second. I just called the financial aid offices at my college and lawd I must of sounded like a sad, lost newborn fresh out of high school. You’d think after two years of this I wouldn’t be late with getting all my docs in, but doing your own taxes for the first time really changes the game, especially when the friggen irs retrival tool won’t work no matter how many times you’ve tried it!

"In the early hours of January 23, 1973, the 5000 residents of Heimaey Island awoke to a 1,500m-long wall of fire rising to the east of the town. The island, originally formed by volcanic eruptions, was hastily evacuated within a couple of days."
